UP government schools: Just two toilets for 800 children, not even cold water; These pictures will be shocking

In many council schools in Agra, children are not getting cold water or adequate toilet facilities amid the scorching heat. Due to lack of staff, filth and dilapidated structure, there is a serious crisis on both children’s education and health.

The situation at the upper primary school in Lohamandi was the most shocking. There are about 800 children enrolled here, but there is no arrangement for cold water for them in the scorching heat. Principal Vrit Kaur said that this is a government school, cold water is not available here. Surprisingly, there are campers with mineral water in the school, but they have been locked instead of being used by the children. The school has a total of 6 toilets, out of which 4 are occupied by teachers. Teachers lock the toilet after use, so that only 2 toilets come in the share of 800 children.
